Why you'd want to live in Tiftonia

Tiftonia is located at the foot of Lookout Mountain and is bordered by Marion county on the outskirts of Chattanooga. Despite its proximity to Downtown Chattanooga, the area is not as heavily trafficked like areas of North Chattanooga or East Brainerd. Cummings Highway and Browns Ferry Road, the area’s main thoroughfares are stocked with shopping and amenities. The Chattanoooga Nature Center is located in the area, and attractions in St. Elmo are located nearby. The area is a large section of the Chattanooga city limits and was incorporated earlier than some of its counterparts. This means a variety of homes are available—ranging from older midcentury bungalows, newer construction in Black Creek, even several mansions and estates with acreage. This area is a mix of old and new, and tucked away from the hustle of Downtown’s neighboring areas.
